Enjoy Great Organic Produce And Fun At The Longwood Farmers Market

Florida has built an enviable reputation for small (and not so small) farming concerns and artisans who produce some of the best organic, natural and chemical-free foodstuffs and other natural products in the United States. Chances are that if you are in the state you will never be more than a few miles (at the most) from a producer who will provide farm-fresh fare, natural goods that will make meals an absolute pleasure. It’s not only organic foodstuffs that are available at this lovely market – but it is also other artisan products that are aimed at the health, beauty and wellness-focused consumer.

Hours

The wonderful market is open each Saturday from 9am – 1pm. The market brings together many local businesses that have been vetted to ensure that the products they place on display in the market are of the highest quality. This is the perfect venue for a day out with the family. The atmosphere is one of complete relaxation – and it’s also a great place for kids to get involved in various activities in the fresh air – and perhaps learn a little more about why organic and healthy food is absolutely essential for growing bodies.

The day out is even more fun when the Longwood Farmers Market plays host to live music acts – and that happens on a regular basis. The kids become even more involved when one of the many local businesses supporting the market provide activities that keep young minds and bodies healthy. Anything from arts and crafts days – the simple joy of being with the family in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere make this one of the most special farmer’s markets in Florida. As bonus kids get a better idea of where the food that is prepared at home comes from – and meet the people who make that delicious produce available. In this day and age, it is essential that kids get to know that the food they eat isn’t made in supermarkets. It is the fruit of the soil.

The variety of goods on offer will gladden the hearts of all who want to support local businesses – and who want to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. Goods range from grass reared beef, fresh farm eggs, honey and a variety of other artisan produced goods. This is simply a place to enjoy that fabulous combination of fun, value, and products that have been nurtured under the magnificent Florida sun – all without the addition of pesticides and man-made chemicals. It’s also a great place to pick up some fabulous handcrafted gifts that are perfect as stocking fillers for the festive season.

So if you want some great, fresh produce – and also want to enjoy the company of family and friends in a place that will bring a smile to your face then get on over to 300 N. Ronald Reagan Blvd – and become part of the Historic Longwood Farmers & Artisans Market community – you’ll be glad that you did.
